The SVI.I.C.T.PRECIP. (Development of integrated technological platform for the control and the transmission of computer data on patterns of precipitation fields in real time) project intends to provide the state of cloudiness and precipitation on a very short period with a high level of detail and accuracy. MBI will provide satellite telecommunications systems based on new waveforms that will produce several improvements over other technologies commonly adopted in this field. MBI is employed with EUTELSAT SA in the engineering and implementation of transceiver systems at the teleports that will be used by the new Smart LNB systems that will be used in the project.
