Experience working in a Sysadmin/DevOps Engineer role for a medium sized company supporting large scale, complex production infrastructure.

Linux system administration (Ubuntu, RHEL preferred).

Linux Kernel knowledge.

Highly available systems, distributed and clustered systems.

Container technologies and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).

Highly available systems, distributed and clustered systems.

Linux Virtualization.

Design, implementation and management of system and network architectures; Hybrid cloud production environment with Public cloud as well as on-premises infrastructure.

Troubleshooting methodologies.

Knowledge of web servers, email servers, backup systems.

SQL and noSQL databases.

System automation (deployment and configuration management), ex: Puppet/Chef/Ansible.

Network management systems, central logging, log analytics, backup and archive solutions, e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, Icinga, Cacti, Logstash, Rsyslog, Graylog.

Programming or scripting background in one or more of the following languages: python, bash, perl

We are looking for someone with networking and operating system troubleshooting skills and good written and verbal communication skills for Technical helpdesk support.

The candidate will answer support telephone calls and e-mails directly from the customers and work to a target of first time fix of all enquiries. He/She will provide assistance and implement commercial and technical quotations with supporting documentation and collaboratively answer the requests of our network users.

Autonomous in picking up incoming tasks and taking ownership
Understanding and communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and non-technical customers
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
Can adapt to working in a team as well as on your own
Aid in the creation and management of a technical Knowledgebase and work closely within the team to increase technical knowledge and understanding of the business

Applicants with at least one year’s commercial IT support experience will have an advantage, but we welcome applicants with broader experiences of IT Support with good qualifications.

Italian and Enghlish language knowledge are mandatory.
