Applications for Multimedia Devices

MBI has delevoped competencies in technologies and applications for a wide range of devices. MBI's Set-Top-Boxes build on our specialisation in OpenTV, MHP (Multimedia Home Platform) as well as our in-depth knowledge of DVB-based TV standards.

MBI uses J2ME (Java 2 Micro Edition) to develop applications for mobile devices, such as Terminal, a word game developed for "La Settimana Enigmistica", Italy's most well-known word puzzle magazine. Terminal is based on a return channel with XML transactions.

MBI also develops multi-platform applications. Terminal has been developed in OpenTV for STB and J2ME for mobile devices.
