medRouter is a communication device that can be connected to on-board medical devices in order to acquire data and transmit it to the Operating Centre in real time. Targeted and timely treatment can dramatically improve success rates.
Its applications
- to provide early diagnosis in emergency situations (e.g. during the journey to hospital by ambulance)
- to assist doctors in disadvantaged areas; in small communities without highly-equipped hospitals; in areas without specialists physically available for consultation
- to forewarn the relevant hospital department, in order to provide the patient with appropriate treatment immediately on arrival at the hospital
- to provide support in disaster situations, such as environmental catastrophes, or in war-torn or poverty-stricken countries
