Solutions for electronic cinemas and triple-play services
The Forum, which is organised by Comunicare Digitale, is a showcase for digital television technology. This year's edition is even more interesting and highly anticipated, as it will be highlighted by high-level speakers, companies from all over the world and important themes, such as mobile TV, DVB-SH, Web TV, high-definition video and the new strategies of the large corporations.
MBI will be present with its own stand, where visitors will have the opportunity to experience close at hand its solution for the distribution of high-definition content, both live and non-live, in cinemas and multi-purpose halls. Other technologies for the efficient transmission of multimedia content over all types of networks will also be displayed.
During the Forum MBI will present the demonstrator of the UNIC Project, for which it has designed the network architecture and developed the service centre as well as the common terminal. UNIC is a European Project for the development of new technologies for supplying TV-based triple-play services (TV, telephone, Internet) to users in disadvantaged areas.
Being responsible for the co-ordination of the development of the first Italian trial network for DVB-SH-based telecommunication, MBI is set to play a major role in the Forum as a Company of Excellence in the development of interoperable and hybrid-network service platforms.
