RTRT Sat: Broadband Internet for mountain communities in Tuscany
The project extends the Tuscan regional telematic network via satellite
MBI, which is a provider of integrated network services and solutions to multimedia content management, will be following the project. The Tuscany Region will provide public offices with connectivity via dedicated satellite broadband, which enables them to send and receive data.
The project is part of the intervention plan S1003 "Telematic broadband services for small municipalities and mountain communities", whose objective is to provide small and medium-sized public offices in underutilized areas with broadband connection. Over 75 sites in 14 mountain communities are now connected.
MBI is responsible for the service setting, customer support, technical assistance and on-site intervention.
Sites are connected via user stations configured to access the Internet and the regional telematic network of Tuscany.
